What’s a typical day like?
Imagine the day starting off with a team huddle. You quickly get up to speed on any activities across marketing and sales to ensure your team has clear priorities for the day. There are several projects on your plate so you take some time to review each project, prioritize actions, and schedule time for each. You quickly scan through your email for any urgent customer needs and see a pricing request for a standard tool that will require modification. You review the cost analysis provided by the engineering team, determine a price, and send it on to the sale rep for quoting.
Next on the agenda is a meeting with the product development team for a promising new project that was just recently started. The first task is to map out a business model and start interviewing customers to understand how the team can help solve their challenge. Involving customers early in the process has been leading to better returns on recent projects.
The team has identified a nice opportunity coming up next month to promote a product that seasonally is much more active this time of year. With the right campaign and coordination with sales, you could drive some nice sales growth compared to last year. You meet with your team to develop a compelling message and offer, schedule time with sales to brief them and ensure the team has what they need for success.
You scheduled time to meet with the IT team on a special project to revamp the quotation tool for sales. The project has been progressing nicely. Early feedback from sales is that the new tool will save them significant time to quote and help them eliminate mistakes by selecting the right product based on a few simple questions. Today you are working through a few challenges discovered during testing and helping the IT team better understand the end users process.
You take some time at the end of your day to respond to any non-urgent emails from the day, and prioritize any new tasks. You were able to solve several challenges during the day. The proactive work on new products and campaigns results in a record quarter driving Elliott to another record year!
Every day you will be doing work that really matters. You will be helping internal and external customers solve their business challenges. You will have an opportunity to do your best work and make a real impact.

- Solving problems and winning new business gives you a lot of energy! You are comfortable and skilled in both the analytical and creative sides of marketing.
- You are a team player. You are confident but you don’t promote yourself.
